We can even help you set up your first advertsing campaign on Google. This information only applies to new books. Please see 'Sell Your Books Here' if you are selling used books. How much will this cost? The only outlay you will need to make will be the cost of sending your books to our warehouse. If you live locally, there will be no cost at all because we can arrange a mutually convenient time and location for picking up your books. The books remain your property until they are sold - and you can request their return at any time. If you are closing your account, we will pay for the return postage and packing for all your books. However, if you are making a partial or temporary withdrawal of your stock, we will need to make a charge for postage, packing and handling. How much will I be paid? When one of your books is sold, we will process the payment, despatch the order and credit your account with 60% of the Recommended Retail Price. You can also opt for a lesser amount so that we can offer a lower price to our customers and compete with suppliers that give large discounts. When will I get paid? You will be sent a cheque for the balance of your account at the end of the tax year. You can also request payment at any other time. How many books will I sell? I'm afraid we can't give any guarantees as to how many or, indeed, whether any copies of your book will be sold. The announcements on our websites and twitter will create initial interest; searching and browsing will create further interest, but the marketing of your book is down to you and your publisher. As an author, you are your brand so make sure that you have a website that tells potential readers about yourself, has excerpts from your book and, above all, makes it easy for your book to be bought. We can provide code for links and banners that you can incorporate in your web pages. If you don't have the skills to do this or if you don't have a web designer, I'd be happy to give you all the assistance you need. I'd also be happy to design a page for inclusion in your own site or design a whole website for a very reasonable cost. Learn more How copies of my book do you need to stock? You can send us as many copies as you like, but I would suggest that you start off with two copies and see what the demand is like. What do I do next?
